The importance of strong brands to ensure
customer loyalty cannot be overestimated. This is why EMD has
developed a cost-efficient solution for the independent retail
trade under the heading of “Eurolabels”. The product managers of
EMD develop “ready
to sell” products, thereby realising brand identities which can
be used as umbrella brands throughout Europe. This is because
the brandname rights are held by EMD, are internationally
secured and are available to all members for exclusive sale in
their national markets.
Product development and product management are
handled on a centralised basis by EMD, the members do not have
to bear any outlays. EMD also deals with the product liability
insurance and thus ensures clear advantages without risk. The
Eurolabels give the members thought-through brandname concepts
designed for optimum market assertion which meet the needs of
the members in terms of their costs and yield structures and can
stand up to the price competition from the international
discounters.
At present around 500 articles are available as
Eurolabels. And, of course, the manufacturers and the products
are subject to constant quality controls through independent
internationally recognised experts.
