2. Shareholders’ meeting

The shareholders’ meeting is the strategic organ of the company. It is composed of the national managing directors, members of the board or directors general of the members. It meets once or twice a year and is responsible for the strategic orientation of the activities of the company.

4. The management

The management, which is headed up by Philippe Gruyters as Managing Director, is responsible for the day-to-day business of EMD AG. All operational activities are carried out by the 12 employees at the company headquarters in Pfäffikon and in meetings of the working groups on site in the member countries.

 

 

5. Working Groups

Within the framework of product range-oriented working groups, the product range buyers of the member companies define, plan, negotiate and implement product-related projects.
Coordinated by EMD, the specialist buyers of the participating companies work closely together; the groups meet as required at a central location or are in constant communication by Internet, phone and videoconferencing.

 

 

6. EMD Pilot group

The responsible buying managers of individual, large national members are represented in this body and coordinated by the EMD management. Tailor-made concepts are elaborated here for cooperation marketing with the multinational brandname industry; the implementation of the activities decided upon is guaranteed. Meetings are convened as required.
